Toyota enters E-Motorsports
Exciting news for 2019 as TOYOTA GAZOO Racing joins the gaming and e-sports world, with the launch of the GR Supra GT Cup
In a move that will see the first global one-make race in Gran Turismo Sport for (1)PlayStation® 4 (PS4®) TGR have stated: “From this year, by involving e-motorsports as one of the pillars of TGR motorsports activities, we are actively working to make motorsports and sport cars more accessible and enjoyable across generations and around the world. We hope that many more Gran Turismo drivers will experience the GR Supra(2) and that we can obtain their feedback and evaluation of the GR Supra, to enhance the real Supra in the coming years“
GR Supra GT Cup Outline
- Event period April-October 2019
- Preliminary rounds: online, across the world (13 rounds)
- Final round: an event will be held at the Tokyo Motor Show in October
- Participation requirements Owner of the Gran Turismo Sport for PS4® and PS4® software and also a GR Supra owner on the Gran Turismo. Participants must be six years old or older

Also, entries for each race will open 15 minutes before the start of each race at “sports mode” of the Gran Turismo SPORT.
