UWAIT for moments like this

For every amateur photographer there are always those landmark moments. From first share, to first feature but primarily it consists of first cars, first new, modified, rare, exotic or even just unique. For me this occured when i first got shared to a popular group, got a new camera and now shooting a genuine Nissan GT-R, and what a way to reach the milestone not with a factory one but with a purpose built drag GT-R which is stupid fast.

First thing I assumed when finding out this was built for drag that was it was like the last drag car i shot which had no thought into appearance or cleanliness, however i was extremely wrong seeing the UWAIT R32 in person! This car is as precise in its appearance throughout the body, engine bay and accessories.

So using my newly second hand purchased 6D Mk2 i set to capture this beast of legend in frame perfectly with a dark industrial style to match the dark grey paint and blacked out wheels (which had massive tyres on them to add). Under the hood the RB26 contains a forged bottom end and built head, with a Precision 6466 Turbo this produces a devastating 650awhp on 26psi with E85!

To pull it all along the Giken OS88 6speed sequential gearbox is helped but Mickey et Street on all 4 wheels it definitely has the ability to put all that power on the ground while being fueled by a Raceworks 2.8L surge tank with full hardline setup. Built by Sideways Motorsport, Tuned by Gt auto and detailed by Flash detailing this GT-R is more than meets the eye when you see and hear it drive by

So with it’s sleek coupe body, iconic circular brake lights and simple but effective solid wing this classic is sure to appeal to both the purists and new fans alike. All i can say from this landmark moment in my photography career is that I am extremely keen for the next big shoot whatever it may be.
