Antony’s Facelift R324 GTR

People that hear of Bee*R usually can relate to some crazy product that the Japanese company has produced over the years. Do a Youtube search on the Bee*R Rev limiter, and you’ll find hundreds of results with cars shooting flames and sounding like they’re doing a drive-by. The company has also built a reputation from building hardcore Skylines. In particular, their D1GP R324 is a prime example of what they’re all about, amongst the other insane R33′s floating around on the net.

Somehow, I don’t think the typical Bee*R looking Skyline would go down so well with the local highway patrol officer. So it’s a good thing Antony has managed to create what looks like, a road going version of Tezuka’s Skyline.

Antony’s Skyline was imported by a good friend of his in 2009. It was essentially a stock standard example, and after driving around for a few k’s, Antony decided to upgrade his car with minor parts. We’ve probably heard and seen this story all too often. Where, someone innocently picks up a parts catalogue, or they may be browsing around in their spare time on the net, and they end up emptying their entire bank account on impulse. Antony is no exception, as he saw his plans go from minor upgrades, to an endless list of parts. He ended up turning his basic performance upgrades, into a complete engine conversion along with a rebuild.

The front end conversion where all supplied and made by Bee*R. The guards are made to fit the R32 and allow the use of OEM R34 GTR parts. Of course, nothing in the car modifying scene is that straight forward, and custom brackets were made to support the R34 GTR front bar. Other modifcations required to complete the conversion included trimming of the radiator support to fit the headlights, and joining of the R32 and R34 splash trays to give it a factory look underneath the car.

Aside from the Bee*R guards, externally, this Skyline is essentially all OEM Nissan! The only non original piece in appearance would be the Desmond Regamasters, giving it a purposeful look.

The interior has been kept clean and basic, with the only significant changes being a drivers Recaro bucket seat, momo steering wheel and some gauges on the pillar.

Built on the foundation of the classic R32, with the heart and face of an R34!
